I have always been a fan of feeling comfortable while looking chic and lately I’ve had this new found obsession with graphic tees. They are perfect for transitioning an outfit from day to night while still allowing you to feel nice and cozy. Below are a few of my favorite new tees and how I have been wearing them out and about!
The lighting in my photos doesn’t do this t-shirt justice, but it actually says “JEANS JEANS JEANS”. I mean how can you not wear this shirt with denim? It’s such a fun play on the classic t-shirt & jeans. My shorts are One Teaspoon and the sandals are from Madewell.
I am super obsessed with this tank top for two reasons. One – because I think that vintage band tees are so cool. Two – because the back of this top is open!
Now I know that everyone can’t get away with going bra-less, but I have recently discovered these Commando “covers” and they are life changing. I highly recommend them! Back to the outfit, my jeans are Blank NYC and the sandals are Madewell (same as above, but in black).
I have always loved the look of camo – perhaps, because I was raised on the Eastern Shore! This t-shirt is soooo soft and cozy, but really cool looking. It also comes in a few different color options. These jeans are also amazingly comfy and have a ton of stretch in them. I could have taken a nap in this outfit! My jeans are Frame and my sandals are Schutz.
Sadly, I don’t know much about the Rolling Stones nor the Grateful Dead, but I love these tees! I actually wore this outfit out to dinner last week for date night and got tons of compliments on my shirt. The back of this tee has all of the cities from the Stones tour, so it actually looks like a real vintage concert tee! It does run small though, so I recommend ordering up a size. My pants are Blank NYC, my shoes are Sam Edelman, and my sweater is Autumn Cashmere.

Although I LOVE clothes and trying out new trends, one challenge I am constantly faced with is adding more color to my wardrobe. My closet is 90% black, white, beige, or grey. They are just so easy to wear and slimming. However, I am making more of an effort to branch out and embrace color.
As you can see, I am a big fan of neutrals.
One of my favorite colors to wear is red. Red looks good on every skin tone and it’s one of those colors that just makes you feel confident and sexy. However, the new it color this year is more of a blood orange-red and I love it. I recently bought this red JCrew sweater and it is definitely bright; but, when you pair a bold color with a neutral (black, white, denim, etc.) it isn’t overwhelming. You can even get away with adding a touch of pattern – as long as the pattern is neutral.
The purple sweater I haven’t worn yet. Once the warm weather arrives, I plan on wearing it with my JCrew skinny jeans and Schutz snake skin sandals.
These sandals are a perfect way to add some pattern to your outfit without overdoing it.
While I am still pushing myself to add even more color into my life, the key to looking good in a bright color is your confidence. Nothing looks as good on a woman (or man) as confidence. So go get yourself something bright, throw your shoulders back, and own it!
My purple pants are Rich & Skinny which unfortunately went bankrupt – ohh, the irony. Joe’s Jeans make a great alternative!
I have wanted a great pair of over-the-knee boots since my freshman year of college (2009). I first bought a cheap pair from Marshalls and I now look back at those pictures and cringe. While I was ahead of the trend with my grey suede boots, the fit was horrible and they were way too loose around my chicken legs.
It was about two years ago that I discovered the Stuart Weitzman Lowland boots. I would spend hours on Instagram and Pinterest looking at the different ways to style them and trying to decide which color I wanted the most. Of all the many OTK boots on the market, there are only a handful of designers that have the fit down perfectly. I have toothpick legs that swim in most boots I try on and look very silly . Not only do these hug my legs just right, they are actually comfortable!
These boots are definitely a splurge but the quality is unmatched. I have another pair of Stuart Weitzman boots that are over 10 years old and they still look great. You can style these over a pair of skinny jeans or with a mini dress – they look great with anything. I am hoping to add a black pair to my closet for next Fall but I am torn between the black leather Lowland boots and the black suede Tieland.
If you don’t like the tie back detail on the Stuart Weitzman boots then the Jimmy Choo Myren boot is another great option. The fit is amazing and the quality is excellent. I’m actually considering getting a pair for myself if I don’t end up with the leather Lowland boots!
Even if you don’t think OTK boots are for you, they look good on everyone. They are my favorite purchase of 2016 and I never want to take them off. Go ahead and treat yourself, you deserve it!
Sunglasses (Tory Burch) Leather Jacket (Trouvé) Similar Sweater (Vince – mine is discontinued) Choker (Local Boutique) Black Jeans (Citizens of Humanity) OTK Boots (Stuart Weitzman) Camisole (Yummie) Tote Bag (Louis Vuitton)
One of the reasons why I wanted to start a blog was because so many blogs out there today are all posting the same stuff over and over and over. There are countless designers around the world that don’t get any recognition because the big brand companies are stealing all of your attention. So today I am sharing with you four of my favorite designers that you need in your closet.
Madeworn is an L.A. based company, founded by Blaine Halvorson, that makes the coolest vintage t-shirts. My favorite is their Rolling Stones studded tee. Pair it with some One Teaspoon cut offs and a pair of Schutz sandals and you’ve got yourself your go-to Summer outfit.
Trust me when I tell you that you will want everything from Andi Bagus. I am not sure how they haven’t taken over the world yet, but I have a feeling they are on their way. All of their products are handmade in Bali and the prices are beyond reasonable. A few of their pieces were featured in this years Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, so I imagine you’ll start to see a lot more of them in the social media world. Everything comes in a variety of colors and some tops are reversible in the coolest way. I definitely recommend that you check out their Instagram page so you can see how awesome their stuff is! If you see me on the beach this Summer, I’ll be decked out in Andi Bagus.
Réalisation Par makes the most feminine and fun tops and dresses. If you check out their IG page, you’ll see stars from Bella Hadid to Rocky Barnes looking fabulous in their clothes. I am beyond obsessed with The Goldie dress. You could pair it with a great pair of booties for the Spring or some OTK boots in the Fall. There is nothing better than a dress that you can wear year round!
Sir the Label
Sir the Label is a brand based in Australia – the epicenter of beachy chic. I would take one of everything from their collection. If you are looking for a great dress for a Summertime party, look no further. Or if you just want a great date night outfit, then you must check them out. Imagine wearing this beautiful white dress with a killer tan and your favorite Summer heels – ughhhh can it be Summer already!?
I hope you love these designers as much as I do!
