Latest Beauty Buys

I am always in search of the latest and greatest beauty products.  From hair care to makeup, I love it all.  Honestly, I probably order something from Sephora once a week.  It would be easier if I had a Blue Mercury, Sephora, or a Nordstroms where I live, but unfortunately I don’t!  So instead I try my best to stay on the up and up with what’s new in the world of beauty via social media and the internet.  Since I can’t be the only one who doesn’t  have the luxury of going into a store and testing out all of the new products,  I figured I would share with y’all what I think are the best products that I’ve purchased recently!

Ouai Air Dry Foam

Ouai has become one of my new favorite brands for anything and everything haircare related.  So when I saw that they came out with an Air Dry Foam I had to give it a try!  I never air dry my hair unless I am not planning on leaving my house for the rest of the day – because, like many other woman, my hair turns into a frizzy, poofy, knotted mess when left to the natural elements.  It’s anything but cute.  So if there is a product that can make my hair look great without spending 10 minutes blowing it out, then I am obviously going to give it a try!  I have only used it a handful of times, but so far I am a huge fan!!  It gives my hair that “I just swam in the ocean and let the sun dry my salty hair” look – wavy, yet frizz free.  If you have anything other than stick straight hair, I highly recommend you give this a try!

Pureology Superfood

This stuff is amazing!  My hair stylist recommended this to me a few months ago and I am obsessed.  I use it a couple of times a week after I shampoo and condition my hair.  I let it sit for about 5 minutes, although the directions call for 10-20 minutes, before I rinse it out.  Despite using it on top of my daily conditioner, it does not weigh my hair down at all!  This stuff gives me silky, smooth hair without greasy roots.  It is definitely a must-try!

Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair

This is another deep conditioning hair mask, however this one you use in place of your daily conditioner.  I have only had this for a little over a week now so I have only tried it twice.  What I can say is that this stuff smells wonderful and does an excellent job!  I have tried countless deep conditioners and so many of them don’t make much of a difference.  When I used this one, I was thrilled that my hair remained soft and silky for several days afterwards.  You would think that this would be expected with all hair masks, but with my hair I am lucky if I can keep my hair frizz free for a day!

Jade Roller

I recently discovered the Jade Roller via Song of Style’s Instagram page.  After reading up on them and learning how they help stimulate collagen production while simultaneously helping your skin better absorb your beauty products, I decided to buy one for myself.  I found mine on Amazon and was happy to see that it had over 600 five-star reviews.  I obviously don’t know if it is helping my collagen production, but I do love how soothing it feels when I use it.  It is incredibly relaxing and I definitely can tell that it helps my skin better absorb my serums.

Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate

I have used the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate for years and it is one of my all time favorite beauty products.  I have had samples of this stuff before but I had never bought the big bottle of it.  However, after buying the Jade Roller I decided to buy a serum for day time use so that I could use my roller in the morning and evening.  I am probably biased because of my love for the Midnight serum, but I love this Daily serum as well!  It has the best citrusy scent and it gives my skin a dewy glow throughout the day.  I have also found that it helps my makeup go on smoother and prevents my foundation from getting cakey!  I certainly recommend!

These are my recent favs, but trust me, there will be more!
