A Girl and Her Shoes

Since I was a child, I have always had an obsession with shoes.  I remember I used to go through my Moms closet and I would dream about the day when my feet could finally fit into her shoes.  Although my Mom has always had a great collection of shoes, my love for shoes really blossomed once my Aunt Alice (Summer is a Verb) moved in with us (circa middle school years) – that was when I discovered Manolo’s, Jimmy Choo’s, and Stubbs & Wootton.  From then on, my closet nor my bank account would ever be the same.

Flash forward a decade later and I finally bought my first pair of Gucci’s.  Insert angels singing.  I have been eyeing up these beauties, on all forms of social media, for just about a year now – however, once I heard that they were being discontinued come the end of 2017, I took the plunge.  These Princetown mules have been sold out across the country for months now and backordered until April 2018 – ummm no thanks.  It was clearly fate because after Thanksgiving dinner, where I tried on Alice’s Princetowns (yes, she has the same pair), Nordstrom was all of a sudden fully stocked!  So, with the click of a button, and expedited shipping, these babies made it to their forever home!

If you have even considered getting yourself a pair, DO IT!!! They are the softest, warmest, and coziest shoes I own.  I cannot emphasize enough how much I love these shoes.  I wear them all of the time They not only look great dressed up for a night out, but they instantly elevate the sweat pants you “run to the store in” – which I wear more often than I should!  Below are some pictures of me in nothing but my sweatpants and a tee – all I added was a leather jacket and my Princetowns to turn my loungewear into something I would wear to run my errands!

Shoes (I linked the only website that seems to be stocked in all sizes – but they run small so order a full size up!) Jacket (Trouvé) Sweatpants (Project Social T) Tee (Mine is an old Rails tee but I linked a similar one by another favorite t-shirt brand of mine)

I couldn’t not post this picture – if you follow me on Instagram, then you know Chloe loooves to be in my pictures.  What can I say, she loves the camera just like her Mommy!
