The Best OTK Boots

I have wanted a great pair of over-the-knee boots since my freshman year of college (2009). I first bought a cheap pair from Marshalls and I now look back at those pictures and cringe. While I was ahead of the trend with my grey suede boots, the fit was horrible and they were way too loose around my chicken legs.

It was about two years ago that I discovered the Stuart Weitzman Lowland boots. I would spend hours on Instagram and Pinterest looking at the different ways to style them and trying to decide which color I wanted the most. Of all the many OTK boots on the market, there are only a handful of designers that have the fit down perfectly.  I have toothpick legs that swim in most boots I try on and look very silly . Not only do these hug my legs just right, they are actually comfortable!

These boots are definitely a splurge but the quality is unmatched.  I have another pair of Stuart Weitzman boots that are over 10 years old and they still look great. You can style these over a pair of skinny jeans or with a mini dress – they look great with anything. I am hoping to add a black pair to my closet for next Fall but I am torn between the black leather Lowland boots and the black suede Tieland.

If you don’t like the tie back detail on the Stuart Weitzman boots then the Jimmy Choo Myren boot is another great option. The fit is amazing and the quality is excellent. I’m actually considering getting a pair for myself if I don’t end up with the leather Lowland boots!

Even if you don’t think OTK boots are for you, they look good on everyone. They are my favorite purchase of 2016 and I never want to take them off. Go ahead and treat yourself, you deserve it!
