While I am obsessed with my newest boyfriend jeans, I am still always in the market for a new style of denim. The denim trend has recently gone from a basic dark wash skinny jean to all kinds of new funky styles and I am loving it! Although it’s not quite short season yet, I just purchased a pair of One Teaspoon’s cut offs. I love them so much that I just may have to get them in a few other colors…
However, since I won’t be wearing them anytime soon, I just had to get some new jeans to get me through this last stretch of Winter. Now, if you had asked me a year ago if I would ever purchase a pair of high-wasted jeans, I would have laughed in your face. I must admit my opinion on them has changed drastically. I still don’t like the 80’s style high wasted denim that gives you somewhat of a muffin top, but these skinny jeans from JCrew on the other hand are right up my alley. You can bend over, squat, and probably try a split in them and not have to worry about anything popping out. Not to mention, you can finally buy all those adorable cropped tops that are all the trend right now without having to tirelessly search for a skirt to go with them!
They truly are so great that I got them in black and a dark wash denim.
(Sorry for the poor photo quality – my iphone is a tad out of date!)
These frayed hem jeans are super cool and I have yet to find a pair that I like as much as the ones above, from Express. Although I have never bought any denim from Express, the current promotion they are running (buy one, get one 50% off) makes me more willing to take the plunge.
I love love love the patchwork denim but I am currently torn between the Hudson skinny jeans and the Point Sur for JCrew cropped/flare jeans. While I like the color better on the Point Sur’s I am more of a skinny jean girl at heart – perhaps I’ll just have to get both!
